Capel Cottage Nursery is a charming independent nursery conveniently located on the A228 within a quick drive of Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone and Tonbridge. We have ample car parking and paved access for disabled visitors and families with pushchairs.
We stock a wide range of garden plants for all situations and seasons. We have an extensive stock of cottage garden perennials, annuals, trees, shrubs vegetables and herbs. We grow most of our own plants on site, both out of doors and undercover. We also stock a wide range of plant care products, pots, garden ornaments and furniture as well as landscaping products.
We are proud that our commitment to quality, expert knowledge and friendly, personal service has made us the nursery of choice for locals as well as garden enthusiasts from further afield.
No Dogs Allowed – Unfortunately due to a number of incidents, we have made the decision that dogs are no longer allowed at the nursery – with the exception of assistance dogs.

Our tunnels are bursting with colour right now 🌸🌿 packed full of stunning basket and bedding plants, all grown on-site. You will find favourites like calibrachoa, diascia, nepeta, verbena, surfinias, bacopa, bidens, and lobelia, plus plenty more in a huge mix of vibrant shades ready to brighten your garden.
We have also had a big delivery of fresh stock 🚚 including trees, climbers, shrubs, herbs, and beautiful frame-trained plants. These include standout varieties such as wisteria in flower, exochorda, photinia, loropetalum, ceanothus, and trachelospermum jasmine. Perfect for instant impact, they are ideal for covering walls, fences, or screening areas quickly and effectively.
There is so much looking fantastic in bloom right now 🌺 from ceanothus and ribes to rhododendrons, azaleas, prunus blossom, crab apple, cercis, amelanchier, magnolias, and acers.
We are also busy planting up hanging baskets for customers 🧺 and preparing plenty more for sale. Alongside this, we are growing a large range of hardy perennials, perfect for adding long-lasting colour and structure to your garden year after year 🌼

Our summer bedding plants are now in full supply, offering a wide range of colours and varieties to brighten borders, containers, and displays. Carefully grown for strong performance, these plants are ideal for creating vibrant seasonal impact throughout the summer months. Availability is regularly updated as new batches come through.
