Capel Cottage Nursery is a charming independent nursery conveniently located on the A228 within a quick drive of Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone and Tonbridge. We have ample car parking and paved access for disabled visitors and families with pushchairs.
We stock a wide range of garden plants for all situations and seasons. We have an extensive stock of cottage garden perennials, annuals, trees, shrubs vegetables and herbs. We grow most of our own plants on site, both out of doors and undercover. We also stock a wide range of plant care products, pots, garden ornaments and furniture as well as landscaping products.
We are proud that our commitment to quality, expert knowledge and friendly, personal service has made us the nursery of choice for locals as well as garden enthusiasts from further afield.
No Dogs Allowed – Unfortunately due to a number of incidents, we have made the decision that dogs are no longer allowed at the nursery – with the exception of assistance dogs.

Summer colour has arrived at the nursery 🌸🌞 and we are fully stocked with beautiful bedding, basket and patio plants 🌿🧺.
Our current range includes trailing petunias, calibrachoa, verbena, bidens, lobelia, bacopa, nepeta, diascia, scaevola, begonias and fuchsias, along with a colourful selection of box bedding plants including marigolds, cosmos, alyssum, impatiens, ageratum, geraniums, antirrhinums, gazanias and zinnias 🌼🌺.
We also have zonal geraniums, ivy leaf trailing geraniums and large dahlia plants available in a wide choice of colours, perfect for brightening up pots, baskets, borders and summer displays 🌻🪴.
Summer Bedding Plants
Our summer bedding plants are now in full supply, offering a wide range of colours and varieties to brighten borders, containers, and displays. Carefully grown for strong performance, these plants are ideal for creating vibrant seasonal impact throughout the summer months. Availability is regularly updated as new batches come through.
Hanging Basket Plants
We have an excellent selection of hanging basket plants, perfect for creating full, trailing displays. Varieties include popular choices such as calibrachoa, bacopa, lobelia, and more, all selected for their colour, longevity, and reliability. Plants are available individually or ready for use in your own basket designs.
